Woodridge Farm is ideally set up for the training of thoroughbred horses with its own pre training track and being located close by the major training centre of Matamata adding the final touches before a horse races is easily achieved.

Alan Tait is a former jockey with over 100 wins to his name while being based in Southland and since retiring has devoted his life to the training and breaking in of horses. Because Woodridge Farm is a small operation, every horse gets personal attention from Alan and his staff. Alan rides most horses in their trackwork so he has a full understanding of where they are in their preparation in regard to fitness and racing style.

If you dont currently own a horse, Alan always has horses available to purchase or for syndication,or he can advise and assess a horse before you purchase. His syndicates are professionally run and being a boutique operation, regular communication with the owners is high on his list of priorities.
